Matthew Victoria
Creative Director & Founder | "The Dreamer"
Matthew Victoria is a lifelong writer and creator. A trained actor and dancer, Matthew spent most of his career where he is most comfortable: developing talent as a teaching artist, choreographer, director, and playwright. A successfully marketing professional in his "day job", Matthew founded Woodpoint Road to reconnect with his beloved community of artists, tell stories with intention, jump over anything in our way, and flip off anyone who says we can't. Once upon a time, Matthew earned a BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
Stephanie Rizk
Managing Director | "The Schemer"
Stephanie Rizk grew up in a family that lived and breathed the arts—in fact, her mother owned and operated a renowned community theatre company in Pittsburgh, PA. Stephanie's greatest passion has always been music and she is an accomplished singer songwriter with a deep catalog of heart wrenchers in the lane of Carole King and Natalie Merchant. She is the proud mother of three teenagers and a successful non-profiteer specializing in leading organizations in the areas of marketing, brand, and technology. Stephanie is the brain muscle, the logistics strategist, and the get-it-done hero of Woodpoint Road.
The Long Walk Back to the Big Dream
Woodpoint Road winds its way off of Graham Ave in Brooklyn, third stop on the L Train. It's been many years since any of us lived there; that three-bedroom apartment where our chosen family of misfits spent our formative years. It's where we lived the moments that would become our stories, and where we found the voices to tell them. It's the last place I dreamed a very specific kind of dream—namely, a BIG one—and the last place I ever called myself an artist.
found in the stems and roots
Woodpoint Road Media has embarked on our maiden voyage. Our first project is in pre-production and scheduled to shoot this summer. As a new company, we'll be exploring many roads as we solidify our identity, and look forward to partnering on film, media, advertising, and brand development projects. The collective of artists affiliated with Woodpoint Road includes filmmakers, writers, composers, designers, photographers, songwriters, actors, producers, marketers, storytellers, and all around excellent human beings committed to telling stories that celebrate truth and remind us what's worth fighting for.
strong in tension, embedded in a matrix that resists compression
When searching for a name to attach to the idea of this production company, I thought back to the last time I believed I could accomplish something great...and the name could never have been anything else. Woodpoint Road slingshots us back into a time when we made art without fear, loved way too hard, and remained steadfastly unwilling to compromise on the insistent willing of our creations into being.
